MIND MAPPING FOR CHILDREN AND ECES
WHAT IS MIND MAPPING?
A mind map is a visual diagram with
information focused on a central idea. It is built around a single central
topic.
By placing the main idea in the centre, onlookers
or readers can easily understand the map's focus and add their own thoughts and
connections when viewing the information.
Mind maps are a simple, visual method to
organize ideas for better clarity and recall, so when the creator returns to
the map with new ideas or thoughts for expansion, they can easily remember the
focus and purpose of the topic.

WHAT ARE SKETCH NOTES?
A great way to create mind maps is by
creating and using sketch notes.
Sketch notes are "rich visual notes created from a mix of handwriting, drawings, hand-lettering, shapes, and visual elements like arrows, boxes, and lines.
The best time to use sketch notes is while listening
to a speaker, a lecture, a discussion, or webinar because making sketch notes
is quick and don't require a lot of detail. The creator can almost visually
barf or stream all of their ideas onto the paper.
Sketch notes don't require special drawing
skills but do require you to listen so you can visually synthesize and
summarize ideas by using writing and drawing." (Mike Rohde, Rohdesign)
